Tuition and fees rose 4.9 percent for 2018-19 at Hair Professionals School of Cosmetology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.
Illinois students paid $19,350 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $900 more than the $18,450 charged for 2017-18.
Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 7 students received grants or scholarships totaling $36,045 and 8 students took out student loans totaling more than $66,666.
Including all undergraduates (100), 84 students used grants or scholarships totaling $328,995, and 69 students took out $527,985 in federal student loans.
